JUMP !!-suit

Wednesday, May 27, 2015

Hi there!
So I am currently still in a mini-vacation mode; Was it just me, or did this "long" weekend just fly by?. I cannot believe it passed so quickly. I think that the more we look forward to something sometimes, the quicker it ends...how sad. LOL :\ So...did you do anything special this Memorial weekend? Anything exciting? :) Mine was great; we celebrated my Dad's birthday this passed Saturday, so that was fun. I also went to the beach after so long; its been months since the last time I went; isn't that crazy? This sometimes makes me think that we take what we have for granted? Like in my case, living here in Miami and having the luxury and easy access to the beach that is just 20 minutes away..? I sometimes have to stop and think that I am really lucky to call this place home. Also, lately I've been really trying to do different things during the weekend or throughout the week. As well as plan and try something new, such as, explore another city, indulge in a whole day at a museum, swim with dolphins..etc. So far in my twenty-fours years of life I think I have just played it safe and just stuck to a "safe" routine; as in went to school, earned a degree, find a decent job. My heart has been yearning the spontaneous and the unknown lately, so I am going to try my best to feed it...I have many exciting ideas and trips coming up and I cannot wait to share them with you all :D ...So with that being said, jump at ANY opportunity that is presented to you; whether it be for leisure, business, family-related...you name it, just go out there and do it !!

All outfit details are below
Thank you so much for reading !! :)

I pretty much fell in love when I laid my eyes on this jumpsuit. It has the perfect feminine cut, almost resembling a sweet heart neckline. What really sold me was this amazing pastel baby blue color...or is it lilac..? Either way, it is an amazing color to wear and flatters every skin tone. I love that it's also slightly pleated and it has pockets! I thought that was a nice touch + its convenient. So, the best part of all was that I scored this jumpsuit at Marshalls for only $16 ! You know I was happy when I saw that price ;) I purchased it at the Marshall's in Midtown Miami, for any locals that are curious. Also, I cut my hair a bit, did you notice?! haha..I was tired of my long and dull hair, so this was a refresher for me; Now it is definitely more managable to deal with. :)

SEEING STRIPES..?

Wednesday, May 20, 2015

Hi there :) !
I wanted to share what I wore the weekend of Mother's Day. It was the most perfect day because it was so sunny and it was pretty hot as usual. I went for this black and white maxi dress. And let me tell you, I own many maxi's and this has become another favorite of mine. This one goes as second on my list with the Lilly Pulitzer maxi I have..you could check out that post here. Anyways, I love the assymetrical stripes all around the dress, as opposed to basic vertical and horizontal stripes...right?? What makes it special is the cross straps in the back and that its a halter top, which is great for this time around. The two slits on each side also makes it fun and airy for hot days. It is also VERY flattering on which was my favorite part ;) lol I'm wearing a size M in this dress; it does run a bit big because I am usually an L..just a little insight for you guys.
Also, don't forget to check out the "Surprise" sale that Kate Spade is currently having!

Wishing you a happy Wednesday, and thank you so much for stopping by!

LC X MINNIE MOUSE FOR KOHL'S

Thursday, May 14, 2015

Hi :)
I wanted to share with you guys a recent collection that just launched with Kohl's !
By the title, I'm sure you already know what it is lol...LC Lauren Conrad released another Disney Collection. I was left fascinated by the Cinderella collection, but I think this one is even more special because it features none other then Minnie Mouse !! I was..and still am excited when I heard about this release. It is a bit smaller and less pieces then LC's most recent collborations; but this amount of cuteness is still worth checking out! Check out my favorites below!

What do you guys think? Did the collection stay true to the iconic Minnie Mouse?
Let me know below ;)

thank you so much for reading !
Let's hang in there, it's almost the weekend! :)

Springing into Summer...

Tuesday, May 12, 2015

Hi ! :)
Happy Tuesday; another weekend flew by, like always. I hope you all had a great Mother's Day weekend. My grandma has been in town for a couple of weeks so it was nice to have her here to celebrate Mother's Day together. I also did a little shopping this weekend as well; I will share that with you all soon ;)

So today is all about some pieces that I know are essential to your Spring & Summer wardrobe. I know that we can all go shopping every damn week/weekend for clothes so it's important to invest in a couple of essentials. First up are some basic tees; These are a must during Spring and Summer (ok, for everyday lol) because they go with everything and can easily be dressed up or down. I know I own countless basic t-shirts, but I particularly love this one. I instantly had to get it when I saw at Nordstrom Rack! Its cute, simple, and of great material. The best part are the drapes and layers of this shirt. I wore it here with a pair of my favorite denim jeans, but it could easily be worn with some jean/printed shorts. That leads me to the second, which are a good pair of jeans. When I shop, I am usually price-concious because I do not like purchasing at retail price, unless I realllllly need it. LOL. Jeans are definitely  something that I feel that are worth the splurge. Here, I am wearing a pair of Levi's jeans; They really have a variety in fit, so you could definitely find a pair that are cute and comfortable. Another great staple is a nude heel. I feel like it is the "holy grail" color of shoes (is that a little dramatic..? oh well, but it's true!) A nude heels will instantly make you feel and look taller; not to mention it looks great with any color palette. I scored these at JcPenney for like $10, I was the happiest girl ever when that happened loll . ;)

Lastly, and possibly my favorite staple piece for this time of the year is some good quality jewelry. This could really spice up and add life to your outfit with such a simple touch. Today, I wore this beautiful necklace from Laura Grove Design with turquoise sliced beads that was the perfect accent to this outfit. This particular one is called "The Island Oasis". It is definitely a neutral color that goes with everything. What makes this necklace so special is that it's hand made with love by LGD, as are all of the pieces in the collection. Also, no piece is exactly the same, so you know you're getting a unique piece from the start. What I really love about LGD is the initial inspiration; which was her Mother. She grew up in the jewelry business and decided to follow in her mom's footsteps. Laura Grove Design has grown at a very fast pace and is currently in 40+ boutiques in the U.S. To me, that really is such an inspiration because I am all about rooting for powerful and successful women, and striving for your dreams. Also, guess what? the collection is available here in Miami, so exciting ! So you could easily shop the collections locally. I will have the locations at the end of the post below.

I also have a treat for you guys!

FLOWERS & PINEAPPLES

Tuesday, May 5, 2015

This is honestly one of my favorite spots in Wynwood. It doesn't matter how many photos I take here, it is still magical. "Wynwood Kitchen & Bar" is a destination when exploring around Miami and Wynwood. They have great food, atmosphere, and not to mention its really inspirational. This flower wall is just one of many artistic "walls" that are found among this restaurant. There is a courtyard dedicated to countless artwork by local artists that constantly keeps changing. If you live in Miami and haven't gone to visit, you definitely should; or if you decide to come and visit Miami, make sure this is one of your spots to hit up.

Ok, so let's talk about this simple little get up. I feel like this artsy flower wall really made my pineapple top come to life! I am so in love with this top; it's so fun and can really be paired with anything. I decided to pair it with these pink denim shorts because it was so unbelievably hot this day. I think that "pineapple" print is a hit this Spring & Summer; from this blouse, to pineapple shoes..even dresses! I'm sure this little trend will never go out of style. ;)

Let me know what you think below...do you love it?! :)

Hello!

So as you all know Mother's Day is literally around the corner. Since I know it is difficult sometimes to find that special something for Mom, I came up with this simple guide to help you this weekend or whenever you get a chance to shop ;) I curated many things that I know any Mom would just love (my own Mom included haha)..I hope this helps you and gives you some sort of ideas :)
Enjoy!

WINE & DINE: Restaurant ideas

Here are a couple of restaurants that are always a hit in my book. Perfect for Mother's Day or even to go the day before since on actual "Mother's Day" everywhere is to capacity and a long wait list! I know no ones likes waiting ;)

Dolores, But You Can Call Me Lolita Restaurant : (Brickell) One of the best places for a yummy brunch. Their outside setting is beautiful!

Swine Southern Table & Bar : (Coral Gables) Unique and friendly staff, and they have the BEST nutella waffles (Can you tell I LOVE brunch haha) I have also tried their lunch menu, its awesome! One of the best burgers I've had. PLUS, they are having Mother's Day specials!

Coyo Taco : (Wynwood) Ok, guys. I know this isn't all fancy shmancy for Mother's Day, BUT this is the best mexican food I've had in a while. YES, I think this beats Chipotle....yeah I SAID IT. It's a cute little place located in the heart of Wynwood. Their "burrito bowl" is to DIE for. As well as, their fresh guacamole and their variety in tacos. Trust me, Mom will thank you..and you'll thank me later LOL ;)

Had to include photos of this one ;) haha

Wishing you and all of your amazing Moms a Happy Mother's Day!
HAPPY FRIDAY !!!!!
