TOP 5 FALL ESSENTIALS TO HAVE IN YOUR CLOSET!

Wednesday, August 26, 2015

Hi ! So I think it is safe to say that Wednesday has become one of my favorite days of the week; only because it's one day closer to the weekend of course! As you all know Summer time is sadly coming to an end this month (I'm not that sad though lol) and FALL TIME is just around the corner. I cannot lie, I do love Summer, but there is just something about Fall....over the knee boots, darks hues, and Halloween movie marathons are some of my favorites things around this time...wouldn't you agree?! ;) I'll be sharing my top transitional pieces for Fall that I think are essential to have. Also, instead of just doing a photo collage (which will be at the end of this post too!) I thought I'd show some of my past looks so you can really get a visual of what I am talking about.

Lets get started!

1. HATS!

One simple way to jazz up any outfit is to weat a hat! I prefer floppy ones because they are much more flattering and they add some character to your outfit. I am curently looking for a nude tone one!

2. SHIRT DRESS!

These little dresses are one of my favorites because they are just so effortless and match up nicely with anything. Here I wore it pretty simple with some opened toe booties and my hair up. There are countless ways to style this, such as, throwing on a belt to accentuate your waist, wearing a nude hat, even goes good with a pair of tights! I would also wear it with a cute pair of flats..the possibilities are endless!

3. PLAID !

I think it's safe to say that there's no Fall time without a little plaid in your wardrobe. Wether it be a plaid shirt how I am wearing here, a dress, or even some plaid pants...this bold print never goes out of style, talk about classic!

4. BOOTIES!

Aside from some good ol' over the knee boots for Fall..some neutral colored booties are a must! This is another piece that can be very versatile & can be easily transitioned for Fall. Can you tell I like open-toe booties the most ;) I think they are much more fun than closed ones. lol

5. OLIVE!

WEAR. OLIVE. Just like the timeless camoflauge "print" , the color olive continues to keep popping up ! I think it is such a flattering color on any piece of clothing to be honest. Here I am sporting a olive chiffon romper; one of my favorite looks from last year. :)

Last but not least..here is some more Fall inspiration that I put together.
I am really loving that camo utility jacket!

ANOTHER YEAR OF FABULOUS !

Thursday, August 20, 2015

Hi ! Welcome back to my blog. So today's post is a little more special than the usual because today is my 25th birthday ! I can't believe I just wrote that...c'mon, how am I twenty-five already?! But nonetheless, I am so thankful to say that I have made it to the ripe age of 25! I have grown so much in the past couple of years but it's safe to say that turning twenty-five marks a golden year for me. I somehow feel like I am exactly where I want to be in my life so far; everything has falling into place and I could only expect the future to be nothing less than amazing. As cliche as it sounds, the older you turn, the more you realize that the little and simple things in life are the sweetest.... when you reach a certain goal, a familiar scent, taking a nap, knowing that the next day is Friday (loll) and even just enjoying your favorite book.

Anyways, let's talk about this amazing two-piece that I scored from Zaful ! If you know me by now (and all my posts), you know I am all about affordable fashion and being able to make key pieces work without spending 2-3 car notes if you catch my drift.. LOL. Well Zaful.com is right up my alley and I couldn't wait to share with you guys. They have so many beautiful pieces that it's a little overwhelming to pick just a couple things. From trending pieces, to transitioning staples that everyone needs in their closet, Zaful.com has something for every style ! With that being said, I fell in love with this two-piece printed set. I've been wanting a co-ordinate set as they call them for a long time now so I was happy that I found one on Zaful . Although I won't lie, I thought the detaling was going to be embroided, but the whole design is just printed on the top and the shorts, but it is still really pretty and I would definitely wear it again. I would definitely say to go up one size in two-pieces like this because the shorts did run a little short for me; but for dress and loose pieces, I'd say they are true-to-size.

I decided to pair it with these amazing bow heels that I have been eyeing FOREVER and a half online! I would always stop myself because I didn't want to pay full price for them and just wear them 2-3 times lol...so glad I waited because I snagged this pair for $20 !! YAS! ;) I kept it pretty simple because the print is already bold and in your face, so I didn't wear any jewelry except for some small earrings and a watch. Oh! I shot these photos in a cute little hotel on South Beach which had the most amazing view, I have to go back soon.

Thank you so much for reading and taking time out of day to stop by.
Truly means more than words can express. :)
Cheers to "Friday-eve" .. I'm celebrating the whole weekend
;) lol !

Wedding inspiration: Aisle Style

Wednesday, August 12, 2015
wedding inspo
Hi :) I hope you all had a great weekend!
Today I am coming to you with some inspiration...Wedding inspiration that is! Is it just me or is everyone either having a baby, getting engaged or finally tying the knot?! Lately that is all of what I am seeing in social media lately. LOL...Anyways, because of this particular reason, I got inspired to talk about one of the most crucial aspects of a wedding....saying YES to the dress. I won't lie, I always think of this day time to time, and it seems both exciting and nervewracking to be honest. The anxiety of finding the perfect wedding dress, the satisfaction of also finding your bridemaids dresses, and them actually being genuinely happy with it..the list of scenarios go on and on in my head.

So I have teamed up with Aisle Style to bring you a curated collection by yours truly of some timeless dresses for your special day. Everything from lace details, sweetheart necklines, and luxurious fabrics without breaking the bank either. Also, I must mention that the beauty about Aisle Style is that they also offer dresses for many other special occasions, and they are all customizable ! Everything from Wedding, prom, Evening, communion, and so much more!

Here are my top choices for both Bride-to-be and Bridesmaid.. & they are all fit for a Queen I must say..like you ! ;)

Unwritten

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

Wednesday again already?! :D Oh it just builds the anticipation for the weekend. I feel like I'm living for the weekend these days; well, aren't we all? :) Anyways, we're finally in the month of August and although it is my favorite month because I just so happen to be born in it. I've been hit with the reality that I'm turning 25 this month. I must say, I am usually pretty excited when my birthday rolls around, but now not so much these days. Not because I am turning a year older though (ok, maybe it is ) but because I feel like I still have so much to accomplish in life and the seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years just keep going and it feels that every year they keep diminishing even faster. I cannot be the only one that feels like this, right? Like can someone stop the clock or what? It feels like only yesterday that I walked into my bedroom at 2 am from my "wild" 21st birthday party (those details will remain locked up & if you were there, then you know what I'm talking about LOL) but now in less than 2 weeks I'll be twenty-five. It's bittersweet really, but nonetheless, I am thankful and excited that I've come this far in life and I am here now to share all my thought with you all. I honestly don't know what I was doing before I started this blog; I can't picture my life without it now and I hope you will be sticking around for every little piece I share..

So with this I leave you with a couple of insights that have always worked for me and continue to do so.....

1. Write down everything. I mean everything that you wish to achieve in life. Doodle them, draw pictures, daydream about them. Say it, scream it! Believe me, you'll be surprised when you cross out the last one from your list and make a new one.

2. If you want something, go ahead and grab it. It's not going to magically fall out of the sky and have angels to lead the way; you're going to have to work at it every single day.

3. Carve your own path. There's not a single person that have reached where they are today the same way. Believe in yourself and trust the process.

4. Learn to love to dance in the rain...there will be moments of disappointment but you will only grow from those experiences. Its ok, if you didn't get accepted to your first choice dream school or that job you applied to, chances are, something even better is waiting for you.

5. Last but not least, you go ahead and EAT THAT PIZZA! LOL What I mean by that is do not feel guilty after you do something when you fully enjoyed it in the first place. Life is too short and there are still many flavors of pizza that you still haven't tried. (Can you tell I enjoy pizza?)...

thanks for reading! :)
