WAKE UP & SMELL THE FLOWERS...

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Hi everyone!! :)
So we are officially in Summer time!
This past Sunday was the first day of Summer; how exciting! I am also still recovering from the excitement this past weekend. I went to the Romeo Santos concert here in Miami on Sunday. He's a really well known latin singer that sings "bachata" and is admired usually within the hispanic community. :) I had such an amazing time that I almost lost my voice.. LOL. So let's get back into this...if you guys did not already know; I LOVE floral print. This floral print skater skirt is perfect for the upcoming months and it is of the softest fabric ever! I paired it with one of my favorite "Paris inspired" tees. I own many tees like this one, they are just so easy to wear because they could really go with everything! Oh, and these Sam Edelman sandals..? I scored these at Marshalls for less than $40!!!!! I know online these go for about $80-$90 so I was so happy when I found these! Happiest girl ever that day. LOL I found them at the Marshalls at Sawgrass Mills Mall; one of the greatest outlet malls we have here in Miami.

Also, I wanted to do something different; so I researched and I was able to find the same/similar pieces to achieve this entire look for LESS THAN $50! I know, I was impressed when I finished myself. ;) I love finding good deals in store and online, so this was awesome! Let me know if you guys enjoy this. I will definitely do it again ;) ! Oh, some other news, I am leaving to New York tomorrow morning!! Super excited. You could follow my lead/adventures on Snapchat: Estephanie820 . HOME IS WHERE THE HE[ART] IS..

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Hi :) Happy Wednesday!
In my opinion, Miami is seriously the melting pot of the U.S. So many different people and cultures; as well as various ways in how people express themselves. The emerging arts here in Miami is something that we take seriously, so I had to share this with you all. I'm sure you are all familiar with the "Wynwood" walls that reside here; if not, check it out here; if you ever take a trip down to Miami, it is defnitely a hot spot. Keeping that in mind, a couple weeks ago I read an article about how they are bringing an "art district" down to Hialeah naming it the "Leah Arts District". I grew up around this area since I was seven years old, so I was excited and curious to go and check this "place" out. I won't lie, it definitely cannot be compared to how Wynwood is today, but the "Leah Arts district" definitely has the potential to grow and become another city "landmark". I was quite impressed with all of the murals that are currently there; so beautiful and detailed. Each different mural there has a story to tell and they sure do depict some Hialeah roots :). Hopefully as time progresses, they will add on to the walls that are already there! :) You should definitely go and visit and see them for yourself.  It's located at 1501 E 10th st Hialeah, FL.

On another note; here I finally wore the Lilly Pulitzer espadrilles; they look so cute on with this pink striped blouse! :) I wore them with these white shorts I've had for quite some time now; they are my favorites. I love outfits like these; I love wearing heels from time to time, but I am definitely all about comfort. :)

thanks for stopping by! Let me know your thoughts below. :)

"ROMPIN'" IN SOME FLORAL

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

Happy Wednesday! :)
So, this past weekend my boyfriend and I spent the weekend around downtown Ft Lauderdale; I swear I feel like we live there, we come up so often. As much as I love South Beach, I sometimes prefer the more "laid-back" vibe of Ft Lauderdale and their beaches. Its very picture-esque and has a strip of great restaurants.

The area we usually go to is called Riverwalk; So we spent our day there and shot some photos. We also jumped on a ferry (which is free by the way, the whole day!) and it took us to the other side of the river. When we arrived there, we stumbled upon the Downtown Saloon restaurant. It had a very relaxing vibe and the food was great (The quesadillas and the honey-garlic wings, YUM!)

Anyways....I get off topic when I talk about food... I feel like I had to let you guys know; it was just too good to not share! So there's nothing I love more then an easy and cute outfit, especially this floral romper! My best friend Karel actually gave it to me, so it makes it more special :) I decided to pair it with these awesome brown woven gladiator sandals ! They look similar to my black ones but these actually have buckles; which I think gives it more character. I've really been into these type of sandals lately; they can really make a whole outfit standout!! I also had a white jacket on but I had to take it off because I was literally melting from the heat; but you get to see it here nonetheless. ;)

Oh! and today's my Mom's birthday; we'll be celebrating all day today! :) LOL

PLAID + A LITTLE CHAMPAGNE

Tuesday, June 2, 2015

Hi! Welcome back to my blog.
Can you believe it's June already?! I am so ready for the Summer time; even though it feels like Summer here in Miami all year 'round! Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to it.  Anyways, so this little getup was so fun to shoot. This particular day, we went to Hollywood to spend the day at the beach as it was such a pretty day. So I felt that it was right to shoot a couple of pictures. Isn't this t-shirt just the cutest?! The second I saw it online, I knew I had to get it; Especially because there are so many ways that you could style it; with some jeans, maybe a pencil skirt, or how I did it here, and kept it monochrome with some white denim shorts. I also liked it because it reminded me of Drake (you know, the rapper..LOL) . I also love the edge that the plaid shirt wrapped around my waist gave the whole outfit. I know if it was just the shirt with the shorts; it would look plain, but the plaid shirt changes everything; it is so versatile and defnitely something everyone should have in their closet.

Wishing you a great rest of the week! Oh! almost forgot, I will be going to New York at the end of this month :D OMG I am so excited; Can't wait to share my travels with you :)

until next post ! :)<3
