So I am never the one to follow trends around here, but, for an off-the-shoulder top, there's definitely an exception. These have been ALL the rage this season and I have a feeling that they are here to stay for a while now....
These tops are pretty versatile, so it's safe to say that they could be paired with various pieces. This pink top stole my heart from the moment I saw it. It may be off-the-shoulder, but what really won me over is the ruffled sleeves AND its hi-lo hem! It could totally pass for a tunic too. These are great little details to look for when shopping for these types of tops; I know everyone and their mom has one of these lately, but details like these, helps you stand out from the rest. ;) The ruffled sleeves makes it more flirty and would also go great with a pair of distressed shorts. Whenever I do buy "trendy" pieces, I make sure I have more than one way to wear/style it. Now that I look at it, the length lets me get away with wearing it as a dress..? Maybe! lol.
I went pretty classic here with a pair of fresh white denim. I found these on sale. At Marshalls. For $28! It's very challenging sometimes to find a good pair of white denim that are flattering and that aren't too see-through. I won the lottery with these! I particularly like these because they are cropped at the bottom, and it let's you see all of your "shoe details". What I am getting at is that sometimes white skinny jeans can be a little long and pass your ankle, which hide your shoes a bit. I really appreciate these. I also wore these super cute studded sandals. Don't they remind you of a more high-end, expensive pair?! Yup ;)
