PLEATED MAXI SKIRT & CROP-TOP

When I think of Spring/Summer...one of the first things that comes to mind are delicate and airy fabrics, maxi skirts, and bright lipstick. All of these are key factors in finding easy to wear pieces for the Spring.

This particular outfit I'm wearing here is a prime example as how it could be extremely easy to mix and match. For instance, a long sleeve crop-top can be worn with high-waisted jeans, trousers, pencil skirts, shorts, you name it! It's one of those items in your closet that you'll catch yourself wearing again and again because it's so simple to wear. I know I have a couple of these in different colors in my closet! Here I chose to wear it with a pastel maxi skirt! Which brings me to my next piece that I adore...Maxi skirts. I know not everyone loves them but they are so flattering on...I promise! This is because the majority of them are high-waisted so it'll give off the illusion of a slimmer waist,. and I don't think anyone can get mad about that ;) lol. Try to go for one with interesting details. Here, I'm wearing one with a flirty slit on the bottom and the entire skirt is pleated, which makes it much more romantic and girly. I've worn this skirt numerous of times and someone always has something to say about it :) ! If pleats aren't your thing, try a chiffon maxi, or one with a floral print! This outfit on its own is pretty relaxed and casual...but to really spice it up, I added my most recent purchase...these amazing pom-pom sandals that are only $29! They added just the right amount of color to this outfit without it being overwhleming. They are super comfy and also easy to wear with a pair of jeans or shorts (my fav way to pair them to show off the shoe more!) :)

Another way to make this type of outfit more unique is to put on your favorite shade of bright lipstick. Here I'm wearing an amazing fuschia color, but don't worry, if you're not into the bright lips, a nice nude/mute pink will also do. As far as lip colors are concerned, it isn't too difficult to find a color that will "match" any outfit you're wearing..and not to mention your mood. More on this in the coming weeks because you should know by now I adore a good lip color....
