I've always been a huge advocate to color; it doesn't matter which season we are in, I always make sure to incorporate some color in whatever I'm wearing.

GIVE YOUR WARDROBE THE "MAXI"-MUM THIS SPRING
Wednesday, May 18, 2016If there's one article of clothing that I'd wear over and over during the Spring (or any season really) , it would have to be the quintessental maxi dress. It's one of those pieces that are never difficult to style because they are so easy to wear. Dress it up with a jacket and some wedges, or dress it down with some flat sandals and a cute floppy hat! However you decide to wear it, you will ALWAYS look put together (or giving off the vibe that you spent almost 50 hours getting ready, when it only took you 10 mins, trust me!) When you shop for them, keep in mind these three key points: cut, length, and material. First, the cut just simply means that the dress could be strapless, halter, thin straps, off the shoulder, etc. I personally love halter and off the shoulder! Next, when you're trying one on, always look at the length, some could be way too long or short or ankle length (which sometimes could have an awkward fit so be careful lol) . Finally, it comes down to the material; Try to gravitate toward (maxi) dresses that are either rayon (stretchy material) or chiffon. I have noticed that these types of material will last you a long time, so in some cases, you don't have to feel guilty if you decide to splurge on one because you know it'll last you a very long time. Another great option to look for is for a quirky print (solids are nice, but a fun print takes it to another level of fabulous). For instance, the one I am wearing here is a "subtle" tribal print. What I mean by "subtle" is that its not a loud print, BUT, its not boring either. Which reminds me of this dress that I absolutely adore, check it out if you can !
Thanks for stopping by!

SHOP MAXI DRESSES!

Hi there :) !
I wanted to share what I wore the weekend of Mother's Day. It was the most perfect day because it was so sunny and it was pretty hot as usual. I went for this black and white maxi dress. And let me tell you, I own many maxi's and this has become another favorite of mine. This one goes as second on my list with the Lilly Pulitzer maxi I have..you could check out that post here. Anyways, I love the assymetrical stripes all around the dress, as opposed to basic vertical and horizontal stripes...right?? What makes it special is the cross straps in the back and that its a halter top, which is great for this time around. The two slits on each side also makes it fun and airy for hot days. It is also VERY flattering on which was my favorite part ;) lol I'm wearing a size M in this dress; it does run a bit big because I am usually an L..just a little insight for you guys.
Also, don't forget to check out the "Surprise" sale that Kate Spade is currently having!
Read all about it here !! It ends tomorrow ;)
Wishing you a happy Wednesday, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by today :) So this has to be one of the most amazing maxi dresses that I own. I was so happy that I was able to snag it ! Funny story, I actually traded a pink Lilly shift dress for this one ! I am so happy that I did; this is exactly my style. So I styled this dress pretty simple since the print of this dress is already the life of the party ;) I went with a light denim jacket that I think looks great with this type of floral print. The jacket really gives it a more casual vibe and tones it down a bit. The best part about it is how luxurious it feels and the length; seems a little long, but I love it, hence why I paired with with some flat sandals. But this dress could definitely be worn with some cute wedges as well, like these! I also like the elastic waist band, it really compliments your shape and waist and it is very flattering; I really appreciate that since some maxi dresses just make you look shapeless and flat overall.
I only wish the dress was still available for you guys :( So sad it isnt...I linked two that I think are worth looking at. Check them out at the end of the post.
Wishing you all a great week !!!

"Dreams and love start to thrive in the Summer time"

It is almost unreal that we are already more than half way done with this year ! Even though that's true, I'm not complaining; this is my favorite time of the year....FALL TIME ! :) And I feel that this Maxi dress is great for transitioning into Fall. The chevron monochrome print really sets the tone for me. It's still wearable for the last days of summer and even perfect for the upcoming season ;) I paired it with this amazing neon yellow necklace, which I believe brings everything together . :)
