Springing into Summer...

Hi ! :)
Happy Tuesday; another weekend flew by, like always. I hope you all had a great Mother's Day weekend. My grandma has been in town for a couple of weeks so it was nice to have her here to celebrate Mother's Day together. I also did a little shopping this weekend as well; I will share that with you all soon ;)

So today is all about some pieces that I know are essential to your Spring & Summer wardrobe. I know that we can all go shopping every damn week/weekend for clothes so it's important to invest in a couple of essentials. First up are some basic tees; These are a must during Spring and Summer (ok, for everyday lol) because they go with everything and can easily be dressed up or down. I know I own countless basic t-shirts, but I particularly love this one. I instantly had to get it when I saw at Nordstrom Rack! Its cute, simple, and of great material. The best part are the drapes and layers of this shirt. I wore it here with a pair of my favorite denim jeans, but it could easily be worn with some jean/printed shorts. That leads me to the second, which are a good pair of jeans. When I shop, I am usually price-concious because I do not like purchasing at retail price, unless I realllllly need it. LOL. Jeans are definitely  something that I feel that are worth the splurge. Here, I am wearing a pair of Levi's jeans; They really have a variety in fit, so you could definitely find a pair that are cute and comfortable. Another great staple is a nude heel. I feel like it is the "holy grail" color of shoes (is that a little dramatic..? oh well, but it's true!) A nude heels will instantly make you feel and look taller; not to mention it looks great with any color palette. I scored these at JcPenney for like $10, I was the happiest girl ever when that happened loll . ;)

Lastly, and possibly my favorite staple piece for this time of the year is some good quality jewelry. This could really spice up and add life to your outfit with such a simple touch. Today, I wore this beautiful necklace from Laura Grove Design with turquoise sliced beads that was the perfect accent to this outfit. This particular one is called "The Island Oasis". It is definitely a neutral color that goes with everything. What makes this necklace so special is that it's hand made with love by LGD, as are all of the pieces in the collection. Also, no piece is exactly the same, so you know you're getting a unique piece from the start. What I really love about LGD is the initial inspiration; which was her Mother. She grew up in the jewelry business and decided to follow in her mom's footsteps. Laura Grove Design has grown at a very fast pace and is currently in 40+ boutiques in the U.S. To me, that really is such an inspiration because I am all about rooting for powerful and successful women, and striving for your dreams. Also, guess what? the collection is available here in Miami, so exciting ! So you could easily shop the collections locally. I will have the locations at the end of the post below.
