OOTD: THE PERFECT LINEN SHORTS FOR SUMMER!

Happy 4th of July! Hope you had a great weekend. So since I pretty much covered everything I wanted to cover from my New York posts...I was itching to start shooting outfit content again! I realized I hadn't shot in a while so I was happy to get these photos together. This is such a perfect Summer outfit. I was instantly drawn to these shorts from the moment I saw them at Target. They are super soft and of linen-like material. My other favorite part is that they have an elastic waist-band in the back so I was sure they wouldn't fit me tight or look vulgar lol. I also really love the fact that these arent "short" shorts. Being on the curvier side, it is so difficult to find a good pair of shorts that that fit right without provoking attention or being self-concious that my butt cheeks are hanging out or something LOL. I know some of you can feel me on that! Well these shorts are FAR from being too short. They are a great length and could be dressed up so many different ways. I also really like that they are high-waisted and have a tie around the waist, these little details really accentuate your waist which makes you look slimmer! These shorts also have open side pockets, which I was surprised that I liked because I tend to stay away from jeans, shorts, or any type of bottom that have those huge pocket openings because those usually make me look bigger...but these are an exception. These are all around amazing shorts, and just in time for the 4th of July!

I kept it simple and paired it with a black cami top and these nude ruffle booties, which I adore. They have a block heel which makes it easier and more pleasant to walk in. I also wore this outfit with a pair of flat sandals which toned the look down and its much more aimed at being comfortable..which is my favorite type of outfit.
