I've been on the lookout for a pair of high-waisted ruffled palazzo pants for quite some time. So I was so excited to find these.
I first saw them on Jenna's (@EmptyHanger) insta-stories and I loved how she styled them, so I quickly got a pair for myself. Since I knew these were going to run slightly big, I ordered two sizes..M & L. I decided on the L because of the length. I like how these pants slightly hit the floor and cover your shoes, but not too much when your walking. I also love how dramatic the hem is; its totally out of my comfort zone but I was glad to experiment with these! They are also made of a light-weight "paper bag" type of material, so these are great to wear in warm climates! I feel like these would go great with a lace body suit or even an olive top for a monochromatic look :) I paired them here with a basic black cami top. I also wore a tall wedge shoe to balance out the pants and not have it look like a sack of potatoes on me LOL. It also didnt hurt that these pants were on sale for only $30! I'll be honest though, when I first received them in the mail, I was like WTF is this?! They looked huge, but when I finally tried them on, I knew they had potential haha.
A couple different ways to wear these types of wide-leg pants:
-Since these pants are dramatic and baggy, make sure the top you choose is more form fitting, like a crop top or a bodysuit.
- Avoid wearing loose-fitted tops, you want to highlight your frame, not it get lost behind tons of fabric.
-In this case, since the pants are olive, wear a bright/warm complimentary color on top, like pink or even red. I'm still a huge fan of color-blocking ;)
Thanks for stopping by today! :)
